With Steel Drum, Latin Percussion, and smooth Vocals this Tropical Island Duo provides your special event with traditional songs from the Caribbean Islands as well as popular tunes with a tropical beat.
The CALYPSO BLUZ DUO have performed for many events since starting up in 2002. Performances include: McCormick and Schmick's seafood restaurant on the Country Club Plaza, Isle of Capri Casino, Elms Resort and Spa, the Brookside Art Fair, Overland Park Clock Tower Series, Kansas City International Airport, Tropical weddings, receptions and parties, and were featured on KKFI 90.1 public radio.

Kainey is a native of Hawaii and is here in Kansas City to
share her stories of the islands through dance. Kainey also has a
fabulous slide program showing amazing sights and talks
about her life on the Hawaiian islands....
AND if you're looking to learn to hula dance, she offers classes in that too.
Silver & Gold offers a variety of theme shows including programs for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grand Parent's Day, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, and even something special for the Red Hat Ladies...
Their voices are a beautiful blend as they sing their duets from the 1930's to inspirational songs of today.

Cathy provides your event with beautiful, soothing sounds of tranquility. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the angelic vibrations of the harp.
Cathy plays both traditional and contemporary tunes. Perfect for tea parties, open houses, garden parties, etc. (A private romantic dinner for two anyone?)

JULIE AMEN
Singer/Actor/Hand Drum Percussionist
Julie is an accomplished singer, actor and hand drum percussionist. Her singing credits include gigs at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas (Top-40 and Jazz), The Farris Opry in Richmond Missouri (Country), Kauffman Stadium (The National Anthem)
Kansas City International Airport, Brookside Art Fair (Calypso and Top-40) and many other Kansas City area venues.
She has appeared on television several times as a vocalist and in commercials including The Nashville Network's "Be A Star" show, Fox 4 Network in Kansas City, and Pete Franklin's National Auto commercial. Her independent film/industrial credits include playing Stone in Trustinus Productions' "Zombie Bloodbath" and the AV Narrator for Vanguard Airlines Pilot training films.
Julie performed in the Instamatics Band and currently performs in the Calypso Bluz Tropical Island Duo as lead Vocalist and Hand Drum Percussionist and the Silver and Gold mother-daughter singing duo where she got her start in 1981.
